When I color with my kids I LOVE using colored pencils. They blend really nicely and I can get great shading. I don't know why I never thought to try it on cards (duh) but now that I have, I can't wait to color more. And get this, I used my kids pencils and they are the total cheapy Roseart brand ones. Check it out!
One more thing before I go. I made the most amazing, wonderful, addicting muffins today. Well, actually they are called cupcakes but they taste more like a a muffin. Anyway, I thought I would share the recipe. They are super quick and easy and moist and yummy and......I LOVE THEM TOO!! Here you go:
Pumpkin Cream Cupcakes
1 pkg. (2-layer size) spice cake mix
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
HEAT oven to 350ºF.
PREPARE cake batter as directed on package. Add dry pudding mix and pumpkin; mix well. Spoon into 24 paper-lined muffin cups.
BEAT cream cheese with mixer until creamy. Blend in sugar and egg; spoon over batter. Swirl gently with small spoon.
BAKE 18 to 21 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.
Thanks for stopping by!

Great card and thanks for the idea of colored pencils for it. I was playing with this stamp today and was thinking about chalk, but don't like to use fixative on them. I tried Smooch and the small ones were fine, but the dahlia shaped ones didn't work well at all. Now i'll try my pencils, thanks! You did a great job.
Wow, if you get those results with cheap pencils I can't wait to see what you can do with Prismacolors! It's beautiful!
Too darn fabulous girl! Love your use of colors! So vibrant! Love it!
I use roseart pencils all the time too :)
