Happy Monday everyone!! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was pretty good. I was busy but still found a little time to chill. I have to share some exciting news!! {THIS CARD} was chosen as the card of the week on the {2 Sketches 4 You blog} so I won a $50 gift certificate to {E.A.D Designs}. I just love shopping when it's free :)Here is my card for today's {MOJO SKETCH}. Yikes, have you seen this one. I'm so excited to see what everyone comes up with. This has to be the toughest one I've ever worked on from Julee. Usually it's the angles that through me but this took forever and I'm still not jumping up and down about it. I used up some more of the chipboard pieces from Scenic Route for this one.

I'm Ready For Fall

I'm over summer! My kids have been back in school for two weeks now and I'm ready for the temperatures to change. It hasn't even been a hot summer here, I just love fall...it's my favorite season. I love when it's chilly enough to wear my favorite jeans and sweatshirt. When football season starts and I can follow my fantasy team :) I'm ready for the cozy to begin!
Today's cards has all my favorite colors of fall. I knew I was going to love Soft Suede when it came out but I'm surprised at how much I love Crushed Curry. This cards uses the Write Stuff Specialty paper from SU. I love the die cuts in this kit and it's loaded with lots of polka dots (my second favorite pattern)

A Different Color Combo

I won this {Teresa Collins card kit} for being a Top 30 finalist in the 2 Sketches 4 You showdown and it's been laying on my craft desk for a long time now. I really didn't know what to do with it other than assemble it the way it's suppose to be. I was cutting into some Sassafras Lass paper and noticed (by accident) that it looked pretty good with the gold paper...so I went with it!! I have no idea what made me decide blue was a good accent color but I really like it with the red. I can't decide if this is a good birthday card...it makes me think of the 4th of July...lol!

Moxie Fab Christmas

Cath, at the {Moxie Fab blog}, challenged make a shabby or vintage Christmas card. She has a really good defination of both styles. I love all things shabby. The more worn the better. I have lots of distressed pieces around my house. However, I've never had that much sucess at really acheiving the right ecelctic, worn feel on a card...until now...I think I got. I got a new paper pack from K&Company that has these Bingo cards that are so big right now. I hadn't planned on making a card for this challenge (I was suppose to be working on demos for my Stampin Up party) but the idea hit me so I went with it. This card did take me awhile because I kept second guessing all the layers. Wouldn't you know everything ended up right where I originally laid it out.

Fluttering Heart

I'm totally loving this new Unity KOTM. The design team has been showing us some amazing samples with this heart and I knew I wanted to get mine inky. I got these new yummy papers from K&Company with some of my birthday money and was itching to cut into it too. I love playing with new products, it seems to really jumpstart my mojo. Too bad we can't always play with all the latest and greatest huh?? I used {Laura's sketch} for this card. I really like sketches that let me show off all the fabulous dp I have. Anyone else have way too much designer paper?? I always tell myself I'm not going to be anymore until I use some of mine but there are so many stunning papers out there that I can't resist....I'm weak :)

Sorry I missed the last two Mojo 100 sketches, I was working at the Rubbernecker Booth at the Stamp Expo in Colorado Springs. I had planned on getting them done and auto posting but last week was crazy busy and there just wasn't time. One of my favorite parts of the whole weekend was getting to meet some fabulous blogging friends. {Leanne} and {Stephanie} were just as sweet as I knew they would be. I also had a chance to meet another Colorado friend {Tenia} too. Swing by their blogs...they ROCK!! Now on to my Mojo card. I really love the colors of this card. I used some of my new Stampin Up stamps for this card. I love the frames set (can't remember what it is called).

SUPER Exciting News!!!

I had to share!! I just found out that one of my cards was accepted for the March/April issue of Paper Crafts Magazine!!! I'm beyond excited, this is my first publication. My hubby doesn't seem to get just how cool this is so I thought I would share it with all of you. I saw on Facebook that 19 new designers will be featured in this issue and I'm so happy to be one of them. :)

My Mojo Sketch

I've never made a sketch. I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to come up with one. That's why I love sketch site's like {MOJO MONDAY} so much, sketches take a lot of the planning work out of card making for me. However, I did come up with today's sketch for Mojo Turns 100 and I don't think I did to bad. Of course, Julee was the genius who drew up the sketch, check it out:
I pulled out a dusty Verve set, Floral Whimsy, for this card. I stamped the flowers and left them uncolored, I just added a rhinestone to the center of each of them. I like the look.

Our Last Days Of Summer

I'm home!! Bet you didn't even know I was gone!! We took a little mini vacation with my family to Colorado Springs before school started. We had a really fun time. Here are a few pics:



We went to Cave of the Winds and Santa's Village. Of course, it was rainy but no one seemed to mind. The kids had a great time but we are all wiped out. Luckily, I had this card already made (it was suppose to post while I was gone) to show you today.

Spring Tree

I know it's closer to fall than spring but isn't it cute!!! I finally used my Kissable Tree by Kim Hughes on a card. I've used it for scrapbook layouts but it was always a little to big for a card. I broke out of my A2 mold and this card is a whopping 6 1/2 x 4 1/2. I inked the tree with Versamark ink and then used SU's Chocolate Chip marker with my color spritzer to spray it before I stamped it onto the Kraft cardstock. The flowers were cut out of some My Minds Eye paper.

I definately need to slow down. Life seems to have taken hold of me and I'm pretty sure it's not going to let up until August is behind me. Red and pink seem to be my fall back colors lately. I love both of these colors with kraft and chocolate chip. For yesterday's Unity Break out the Buttons challenge I decided to use red and these adorable cherries from the June KOTM. I love the red stitching on the kraft cardstock, I'll probably have to try this on a few more cards.

Looking for demonstration artists to work at Colorado Springs Stamp Show August 22nd and 23rd. 8-5 on Saturday 22nd and 10-4 on Sunday 23rd. Experience with Tombow brush markers, Spellbinder Nestabilities or Ranger Alcohol inks is preferred but an ability to learn craft techniques quickly and demonstrate them to others is primary. Should be outgoing and like to speak with others and have fun doing so.
Compensation is $140 cash or $200 credit for use in our both at the close of the show or online in our store. Must be able to work both days.

Christmas SU Card

I have an SU party this month and have been working on getting my cards done to demo. I thought I would share this one with you today. I LOVE this new Christmas stamp. It's a set of 2 for only $10.95. Can't beat that!! I'll probably use it for most of my christmas cards this year. The paper is from the new Write Stuff paper pack. I love all the polka dots in this kit and it comes with really cool die cuts too that I can't wait to dig into. I also used the new set Framed with Love. Really cool too!!
