{ippity} Mojo

Can you believe this is the last Monday of November!?!? It's also my hubby's birthday today....he's 30....eeek.
I used two different {ippity} stamp sets for this weeks {Mojo Monday} card.

I stamped the big love background to create the background. I wasn't paying very close attention when I was stitching and oopsed a bit so I ended up just stitching along the two sides and really like it. It's a nice change to the stitching along all the sides. The scallop along the bottom is a last minute add on. I cut my card base to big and needed something to fill the space. This card turned out to be a lot of happy accidents :)

Black Friday FWF

I'm not into Black Friday, are you?? I prefer to shop without thousands of people trying to get the same deals I am. I actually like to have most of my Christmas shopping done before today but I'm a bit behind this year. At least I know what I need though.
This card is a bit different only because it's a unique color combo for me. I've been trying to expand my color palette lately and have to admit, I'm loving it. I used my new {Friendly News} stamp. I've drooled over it for awhile and during Unity's last sale finally ordered it. I have to say it is one of my faves. I love the size of it and can't wait to use it for a scrapbook layout.

Did your weekend go as fast as mine did?? I can't believe it's Monday again. The kids only have school two days this week and then Thanksgiving break. I just know I'm gonna blink and it will be Christmas. Did anyone get to go see New Moon...I didn't :( I've been reading all the blog and facebook posts about how awesome it is and I'm so jealous!!! I'm hoping I can talk my hubby into going next weekend. If not, he's watching the kids and I'm going ;)

Merry Kissmas

I'm really happy with the way this {ippity} card turned out!! I finally had a chance to get some of the stamps inky and WOW!!! I LOVE THESE STAMPS! But I knew I would :) I stamped the snowflake from {Kissmas and Mistletoe} in Whisper White craft ink and stamped it (with the help of my stamp-a-ma-jig) on kraft cardstock. I have to warn you, if you are going to try this it's super messy (because this ink dries slowly) but it's soooooooo worth the effort. I love the soft look of the background.
I had to use my other favorite stamps from this set too. The mistletoe and saying are adorable aren't they? I just love them. Of course, no creation is complete without a bit of gingham, so I had to add a little ribbon.

Appealing Polka Dots

Hi friends....I've got flair!! That's right, I got a card done in time for this weeks {Unity Friends With Flair Hop}.
I'm addicted to coloring now, so here's another one colored with some pencils. You are going to be seeing a lot of birthday cards from me for quite awhile. My mom needs like 40 birthday cards for next year. She manages an elderly apartment so she always orders a big bunch before the new year.
I love the colors of this one. I think I'm feeling the fall colors lately because I'm really drawn to them when I grab at colors.

I've been coloring some of the new {ippity} images but as of yet haven't gotten a full card thrown together. I have a stinking paper due in my ethics class (blah) this week and it's seriously killing my craft time. I wish my teacher could understand just how important these stamps are and cut me a break ;)

Yippity Skippity {ippity} Day!!

More Kitties...

...and I don't even like kitties! I'm really allergic, so they make me miserable :) These kitties however are the kind I can tolerate. They are from the {Making Handmade Cards} kit Christmas Pets. Handmade Mojo

I have to admit this {Mojo Monday} sketch was T-O-U-G-H!!! I was determined to use the new e-kit from {Making Handmade Cards} but there really wasn't an image that worked for the circle element. I finally came up with the flower and button combo and I think it worked out. All the decorative papers and the cute little cat sentiment are from the {Making Handmade Cards Kit} that is yet to be released. I have some exciting news too. I'm now an Official Designer for {Making Handmade Cards}. They had asked me to be a guest designer awhile back and this kit is the first one I've used as an official member of the design team :)

Colored Pencils

I've fallen in love with colored pencils! In case you hadn't noticed I had quit coloring images, my copics started as a love relationship and turned into to a hate one. Don't get me wrong, I love the markers but I only have a few so I have a hard time blending with them and I still don't have a very good technique down. Maybe if I had the whole collection and a good teacher I would fall in love with them again. Too bad my budget won't allow it.
When I color with my kids I LOVE using colored pencils. They blend really nicely and I can get great shading. I don't know why I never thought to try it on cards (duh) but now that I have, I can't wait to color more. And get this, I used my kids pencils and they are the total cheapy Roseart brand ones. Check it out!Much cheaper than copics for sure :)
One more thing before I go. I made the most amazing, wonderful, addicting muffins today. Well, actually they are called cupcakes but they taste more like a a muffin. Anyway, I thought I would share the recipe. They are super quick and easy and moist and yummy and......I LOVE THEM TOO!! Here you go:

Pumpkin Cream Cupcakes
1 pkg. (2-layer size) spice cake mix
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg

HEAT oven to 350ºF.
PREPARE cake batter as directed on package. Add dry pudding mix and pumpkin; mix well. Spoon into 24 paper-lined muffin cups.
BEAT cream cheese with mixer until creamy. Blend in sugar and egg; spoon over batter. Swirl gently with small spoon.
BAKE 18 to 21 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.

Hey Chick

I completely forgot to share this card on my blog. I made it using one of the {Verve} sketches during the last release. The stamp set is called {On The Farm} and I won it on {Kim Hughes blog}, lucky me :) I'm obviously a huge fan of paper piecing and I thought these adorable chicks would look great pieced...and I was right...aren't they adorable!! I love all the patterns. The only thing I'm a little unsure about is the bow, it kinda looks just thrown on but it was in the sketch so I added it.

Everyday Life

If you are a regular on my blog you've seen this picture a few hundred times. I just love it!!! I've used it for a few projects and this time I'm scrapping it in my oldest daughters album. (I love it so much all the kids have it in their books). For this layout I used my Unity scrap kits and the yummy papers that come with the kits. I cut the flowers out of one of the dp's included. I just got my newest scrap kit and need to get it inky still....I hate having uninked rubber in the house!!!

Mojo CONTEST Week!

Monday?!?! I'm sure how it keeps rolling back around so fast, but here we are again.
This is going to be a quick post today because I think I've finally caught the cold my kids were fighting last week. This week's {MOJO SKETCH} is a contest. Make sure you head over to the Mojo blog for all the details. This card was another super quick one using the scraps from the layouts I've been working on. I love these paper from Sassafras Lass. The colors are so bright and cheery!!
The stamp is from {Paper Makeup Stamps}, isn't it a great saying!!!
