Makeup 4 The Weekend Inspiration Challenge

How is this for inspiration!!This weeks {Makeup 4 The Weekend Challenge} is an inspiration challenge. Use the photo above to make a new card using {Paper Makeup Stamps} and link it up on the {Paper Makeup Blog}.
Here is my card for this weeks challenge:
I used a lot of white to mimic the photo, but I couldn't resist adding more colors. The blue is in there but the other colors sort of ran away with the card :)
I used the hearts and sentiments from the newly released set {Hugs and Kisses}.

More FUN With Shapes

I know I said shaped cards aren't my thing and really they aren't. This card has FUN with shapes but it's still your basic A2 with a fun shape cut out of the top layer. I like my A2 size cards!!! Here is how it opens:
And here I go again with a sentiment from {Paper Makeup Stamps} new {Birthday Cheer Sentiment Set}. I told you I LOVED this set, but I PROMISE I'm gonna start using some of the super cute images that were released in January. I've had an idea turning in my head the last few days I just need to make some time to get into my craft room. Unfortunatley this week has been crazy busy and I'm actually "working" on my Logic class final paper right now! That's what the hubby thinks I'm doing anyway ;) Ugh...I suppose I should actually do that.

{ippity} Day

Friday....wahoo!!! This week has been SOOOOO long and I'm ready for a break :) I wish I was traveling to California like so many other crafters but I'm home in Colorado...a little bummed!
Today is my day to post on the {ippity} blog so make sure you check it out :) I'm also Monday's H{ippity} Hop hostess AND there will be a little something extra this week!! If you've never joined us for a H{ippity} Hop this is the perfect week to swing by! If you have {ippity} stamps you can sign up {HERE} to participate or if you need {ippity} stamps you can click {HERE} to go to my sales blog.

That's what a friend of mine called it anyway. Definition: removal of a popcorn kernal from my daughters ear!! We spent Monday night in the ER with no luck. Three hours later, the kids were tired, my back was killing me and I needed some WINE!!!
Today, we had to go see an Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist who took all of 30 seconds to pop that thing out. I'm so afraid of the TWO bills that I will be receiving for this...ugh!
But, she's okay, the kernal is out.....exhausting!!!!
I thought I'd share a quick card today. My Mom is still waiting on a huge stack of birthday cards and I have two b-day parties coming up next week, so I needed a few quick cards.
I used the sentiment from the {Paper Makeup Stamps set Birthday Cheer}. If you need lots of great birthday sentiments I HIGHLY recommend this one. Each one is fabulous :) I love the simple layout and the colors of this dp from K&Company. I can't remember the name of it right now, but I'll look it up. I'm going to be using it a lot!

H{ippity} Hop

*this is my second post of the day, please click {HERE} to see the new PMS digi for Baylee Tadlock*
Welcome everyone to another Monday. I wish I could say that I had an incredible weekend but I've been laid up on the couch ALL weekend...I blew out my back at the end of last week and the muscles are still killing me. I spent two days power cleaning my house like a crazy woman and am still paying the price. Getting old stinks :)
Today's H{ippity} Hop is being hosted by {Kelly} and she picked a terrific challenge this week.
Black, Neutral and one other color. I almost picked red but then realized I've been doing a lot with that combo lately, so I chose my second favorite fall too!
The flower stamp is from the {ippity} set {Because of You} and I'm using this week's {Mojo Monday sketch}. This weeks sketch comes from my fellow Mojo Maker {Mary Fish}. I usually avoid ovals but this layout is definately a fun one.

Make sure you head on over to the {ippity} blog to check out all this weeks participants. Also the new challenge and some fun chit chat will be going on today in the {ippity} forum.

Baylee Digi

Katie (the owner of Paper Makeup Stamps) has just released a NEW digi stamp in honor of an amazing little girl who unfortunately is no longer with us. Here are all the details:

When you purchase a charity stamp or image, all proceeds from the sale all go directly to the designated charity.
Recently, Paper Makeup Stamps was contacted by 2 friends (Carole Chesser and Ashley Newell) about a sweet girl named Baylee Tadlock. At the age of 9 months, Baylee was diagnosed with Leigh's Syndrome. Leigh's Syndrome is a metabolic-mitochondrial disease. The family was told to expect Baylee's life to be only of about 2 years. That she would never walk, talk, sit up or even crawl. But Baylee was a fighter and a lover of life! She loved to ride horses! She loved disney and princess Ariel. Baylee recently went to be with our Lord on January 9th at the age of 13. You can read all about Baylee, her too short life, and her family's amazing faith at
One of our illustrators, Diem Pascarella drew this wonderful image. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to the Tadlock family. They have set up a scholarship fund in baylee's name with Project Ride is a program giving therapeutic recreational horseback riding instruction to children and adults with special needs. PMS is designating the funds for the tadlock to use as they need.
We thank you for your support in helping us to help remember sweet Baylee Rose.

Magical FWF

I love, love, LOVE this image from the Unity KOTM {Simply Magical}. I think there is something incredibly magical about being small. Have you ever visited a place you went to as a child and thought, wow this place seems so much smaller than I remember. I often wonder how my children view the big everything must seem. It really is magical :) This card is very simple but I like that. It just speaks for itself :)

I'm so honored to get to be a part of the fabulous team that {Katie} has assembled for {Paper Makeup Stamps}. This release is full of so many fabulous images and sentiments! I squealed when we got to see them.
Today I get to peek Ally the fairy and one of the birthday sentiments. Let me tell you, I have been waiting for the most perfect set of birthday sentiments to come out for A LONG TIME!!! Most sets are either not my style or are filled with sentiments that I would never actually say. GUESS WHAT?!?! {Katie} delivered and this set is AMAZING!! It is definatley going to be my go to set for birthdays. Okay, anyway enough's my card! I really wanted to try to paper piece a fairy and it wasn't as painful as I thought it might be...I'm starting to find that cutting out images is rather peaceful...crazy I know.
Anyway, here are a bunch of details on the peeks and the release. Make sure you head on over to the {PMS Blog} if you haven't been there yet. There is more eye candy and oh yeah, you could win some FREE stamps :)

Glitzy H{ippity} Hop

Glitz?!?! That's today challenge for this week's H{ippity} Hop....I don't do glitz well but I guess that's why they call it a challenge :) I really struggled to try to come up with an idea that worked. As always Julee's fabulous {Mojo Monday} sketch was there to give me the kick start I needed.
I stamped the love background from the {ippity} set Because of You with Versamark ink and then embossed it with heat and stick powder. A little glitter and voila! The glitter is really gorgeous in real life (it was hard to photograph). I just love this background stamp and it's perfect for all those valentines I'm going to have to make! Make sure you head on over to the {SCS forums} for all the details on this weeks challenge, lots of fun chit chat and a chance at some cool {ippity} prizes.

Bring Your Own Sunshine

I love this quote!! It's such an uplifting saying and always makes me smile. It's from the {Paper Makeup Stamps set Raindrops and Rainbows}. All the sentiments in this set are fabulous and the images are just adorable!! Katie's sentiments are always loaded with such cute fonts, this one is no exception :)
Stay tuned to my blog and the {PMS Blog} for sneak peeks beginning on the 12th! Trust me, you won't be disappointed :)

Makeup 4 The Weekend Sketch Challenge

It's no secret that I love a good sketch challenge. It's such a great jumping off point. This week's {Makeup 4 The Weekend} challenge on the {PMS Blog} is a fabulous sketch from my fellow DT member {Lisa}. If you follow my blog you probably saw {THIS CARD} that I made for my male cousin turning 30. Today's card is for my girl cousin. Her birthday is Sunday :) I paper pieced {Gus the Birthday Monster} and added lots of fun colors! I just love those glittery Thickers from American Crafts :)
Make sure you go by the {PMS blog} to see the other girls creations!!

{ippity} Flower

This flower from the {ippity} set Because of You was one of the images that I had to have when this set released. Can you believe this is the first time I've used it!! I don't know how that happened. When I was paper piecing it, it occured to me that it was previously uninky. I'm shocked!! I LOVE the way this card turned out however, so I will definately get it inky again soon. I have a scrapbook layout bouncing around in my head that hopefully will make it to paper soon.
