Happy National Scrapbooking Day!! {ippity} and Unity are celebrating with a hop that starts {HERE} on the Unity blog. The design team members are all featuring a scrapbook layout on their blogs and some of them even used these sketches drawn by yours truly :)
I used {this layout} that I made for the last {ippity} release for the sketch and made the second sketch with the help of my {ippity} dt members. I had planned on making a new layout using the sketch but life didn't allow it so you get to see this one again :)Good thing I love this layout...I'm glad to get to show it again. I haven't even put it in Mattea's scrapbook yet because it's still hanging on the walls in my craft room...I just love looking at it :)

WOOHOO!!!! It's another Hip Hop :) There is LOTS of FUN stuff happening with Unity's Anniversary Celebration this week over on the {SCS Forums}. They have been hosting challenges all week and there are more scheduled for today!! There are prizes galore and today the Unity DT and {ippity} DT will be chatting and giving away even more PRIZES!!! It only seemed appropriate today that I show you a birthday card....today is my oldest daughter Macy's 8th birthday!!!! I have no idea where the last 8 years have gone.... She is getting so big, and so grown up!! This is her at a Bronco's game she went to with her Dad. She is way braver than I am...I hate the cold :)I used {Birthday Cheer} from {Paper Makeup Stamps} for this card. I was inspired by the FUN and FUNKY paper. I hated to cover too much of it up so I went with a really simple layout.

Don't forget about the {Unity anniversary celebration} happening all this week....LOTS of prizes have been given away so far...and the peeks are AMAZING. Have you seen the new Cosmo Cricket line of stamps....sorry pocketbook ;)

Happy H{ippity} Hop Monday!! {Lisa H.} gave us a super FUN challenge this week...make a 3-d flower embellishment. I made mine from old book pages.I used this weeks {Mojo Monday Sketch} for today's card. I had to get a little creative to come up with the scallopy pointy things (that's a technical term by the way) at the top of the layout. I ended up using the heart from the {Music of my Heart} stamp set. Click {HERE} to see the heart. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up two hearts side by side and then just cut along the top to create the scroll pattern. I didn't bother cutting the hearts off the bottom because I just covered it up with the kraft cardstock :)
The other images are from the set {Kissmas and Mistletoe}.

Got any plans tonight?? You should join the {ippity} design team as we host a few challenges on Splitcoast's {Virtual Scrapbooking Night}. {Lisa} and I worked together to create a reality TV challenge inspired by VH1's Rock of Love....tell me you watched it!! I'm addicted to reality tv crap and can't get enough of other people's drama...and this show is drama filled :)
The Rock of Love challenge is a sketch (drawn by me from the Rock of Love logo) and a Top Ten List challenge from Lisa. Since the show is about rocker Bret Michaels you also have to add a music element to your theme!! Luckily {ippity} has the stamp sets {Music of my Heart} and {Love in Return} which are perfect for this challenge. I combined both on my layout of my daughter Macy from halloween.
I have to say I was worried after I drew up the sketch that I wouldn't be able to pull it off..but it pushed me outside my comfort zone and I totally LOVE the way it turned out :)
Here is a detail shot:I stamped the music notes on a piece of cardboard and tore and distressed the edges for added texture.

I'm done trying to come up with catchy blog titles....it's too hard!! I decided to simplfy things and just add the date! I'll save my creativity for my craft room :)
I made today's card for the {Unity} Friend with Flair blog hop. I was just dying to get this ladybug inky...isn't it cute :)
I have a thing for cute bugs...I don't know why :) I paper pieced it with this fabulous {Jillibean Soup} paper. I just love this stuff!! The sketch was inspired by the Go To Sketches issue...that thing is loaded with inspiration. I think I tweeked this one a bit.

Birthday Butterfly

Can you ever have too many birthday cards?!? I can't seem to keep enough on hand. I use them the most of any card I make so I love having a go too birthday sentiment set. {Birthday Cheer} from {Paper Makeup Stamps} is my favorite set for birthday cards! I paired it with the butterfly from {Buggy Sayings} and had to paper piece it...isn't it cute :)

Happy Birthday Eva

I have to start today by saying Happy Birthday to {Eva}!! Her birthday was actually yesterday but I'm celebrating today on my blog by showing you her birthday card (which hopefully already is in her hands). Of course, I used the fabulous {ippity} stamps and I hope she loves it :) She is such an amazing part of the {ippity} design team and I am so honored to work side by side with her....YOU ROCK girl!!!!
You are in for a treat today because I have another card...I know two in one day...crazy...hehe!!! I used this weeks Hip Hop Sketch Challenge for today's card...it's a FUN one....

I just love all the circles!! I kept my card pretty basic so that all of the cirlces would pop. I stamped the dots from {Love In Return} on Real Red, Whisper White and Taken with Teal and then used my circle punches to cut them out. The sentiment is from {Music of my Heart}...i just love the scripty font...don't you :)

Bundle of Love

A friend of mine needs a few baby cards and this one was quick and easy to throw together. I got these journaling cards from {Peachy Cheap} and REALLY love them. I'm pretty sure they were all My Minds Eye. I wish I had more of these stork ones, I only had one boy and one girl one. I used the girl tag on {this card}.
The stamped sentiment on the circle is from the Verve set {Practically Perfect}.

Kiwi Birdies

I'M DONE!! NO more World Politics....life has suddenlt changed :) My parents took my kiddo's over the weekend and I finished my paper AND crafted!!! The second my paper was done my mojo came back...I turned out card after card after card and have to say I'm happy with all of them....including today's card :) I used this weeks {Mojo Monday Sketch} and my FABULOUS {ippity} stamps. I used {Music of My Heart} and {What Matters Most}. I totally adore those cute little birdies :) I hope you don't mind seeing this Kiwi Kiss ribbon because I kind of went crazy with it...and this paper...the colors are so awesome and I'm sort of addicted right now :)

Eye Pod :)

Isn't {Eye Pod} the cutest name for this monster!!Today continues the review of the NEW {Paper Makeup Stamps} releases. I couldn't resist coloring this monster BRIGHT blue. I have a birthday party coming up for my nephew, so I made this with him in mind. I think he will like it...it's boy enough right? It was all I could do NOT to add ribbon. It's really become one of my go to embellishments...can you believe when I started making cards I NEVER used ribbon...couldn't make it work for me for anything...now I can't live without it!!

Pretty Little Butterflies

Today starts review week of the NEW {Paper Makeup Stamps} releases. I'm lucky enough to get to show you {Danni's Flutterbies}. How cute are these: I'm a sucker for adorable bugs (but only in stamp form). I know the yellow is a little bright...it's YoYo Yellow from Stampin Up and it's one of the colors that is retiring. Not really sad to see it go but I'm not sure what I will do without Close to Cocoa....very sad about that one.

Friends With Flair

Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already....where did this week go? I was worried because this was the kids first week back after spring break AND my hubby is gone for work so I was going it alone. I thought the early mornings might be hard to get back into but it was surprisingly easy. It's hard to believe summer is already almost here. I'm super excited for my flowers and garden though....especially all the tomatoes.....YUM!!
I really wanted to play with my new {Unity Stamps} this week so one day when I had about 15 minutes to spare I thought I would run down to my craft room....an HOUR AND A HALF LATER...this was all I had:
Looks like a 15 minute card right?!?! My mojo is all sorts of wonky here lately...time to get serious about crafting again...what do you do when your mojo takes a break???

Hip Hop and an {ippity} Tutorial

Woohoo....another hop!! I just love Thursday now...not that I didn't love them before. This is one of the days were ALL of my kids are in school ALL morning....ahhhhhhhhhhhhh...hear that.....yep...it's the quiet :)
I get to spend today bouncing around the hop, chatting on splitcoast and typing my freakin' paper....almost a perfect day!!
