Happy Hip Hop everyone!!
I cannot believe it the 1st of July already....my favorite holiday is coming up this weekend!! I've always LOVED the 4th of July...I love the bbq's, the fireworks, the family...I can't wait. As a kid I LIVED for this day...plus it's exactly a month before my birthday...this year is a BIG one. 30!!!!! WOW :)
I've sort of had a thing for rainbows lately....I just love color and sometimes I'm so indecisive I just use them all :) Here is another indecisive card:

The flowers are from {A Moment In Time} and the sentiment is from {The Simple Things}. This card is really quick and easy to make and I might have to throw together a few as birthday cards.

ACK!!!!! I completely forgot to pre-post this....sorry :(
I stayed up late with the kiddos working on a puzzle and then we slept in....summer break hasn't been too bad so far!! I remembered at one point that I still needed to post my card and then it slipped my mind.
Today's H{ippity} Hop card is a bit unusual for me....it's purple...and LOTS of purple. I don't know how it happened. I'm still debating on how much I like it. The layout is another fabulous {Mojo Monday sketch} that I altered a tiny bit. It's suppose to be square or round but those shapes are hard for me so I cheated :)Thanks for stopping by!

Today is a super special day...my dear friend {Katie} is celebrating a birthday and the {Paper Makeup Stamps} design team is celebrating with a blog hop :)
It has been such a pleasure and an honor to be on the {Paper Makeup} design team. I was so happy when Katie asked me to be on her team....I don't think I've ever told the story have I. I was on facebook one day and Katie popped on the chat and asked if I had gotten her email last week.....ummmm..no....what did you need? She said, well I was wondering if you would be on my design team.
WHAT?!?! Are you kidding?!?! How did I NOT get that email. Of course, I said yes and apologized over and over for my crappy email service. How is it that all my e-bills are always delivered and my very first design team invite doesn't show!! I'm so glad Katie cared enough to ask twice :) Love ya Miss Katie...Happy Birthday!!!I used the stamp sets:

I stamped the flower silhouette with haystack ink first for a bit of a shadow. I added some cotton candy stickles to the main flowers and I learned less if more on this card. My first try I blobbed in on a little to thick and the flower sort of disappered :)

I'm this weeks {Makeup 4 The Weekend} hostess so I got to choose the challenge. Since Mattea's birthday was last week I decided to do a birthday favor challenge. I had planned on making a bunch of these to give to the kids who came and then got so busy working on the yard and cleaning the house that I totally forgot to make them...oops! Luckily I remembered to make one for my blog ;) I used the {Sour Cream Container Tutorial} on SCS. I've made these so many times and love them...they are quick and easy and really inexpensive. The sentiment is from the MUST HAVE set {Birthday Cheer}. I've never tried to clear ones but I really like them...especially with the colorful candies inside. My kids have already ripped back into this one for the rolos :)

HIP HOP!!!! Thursday's are so much FUN aren't they!! I always wake up excited to hop and chat on SCS. If you didn't start at the {Unity blog} make sure you head on over there....you won't want to miss any of the projects from the {ippity} and Unity design teams!
I finally had a chance to use one of the sketch challenges for a hop card....did you know there is a new one every Thursday in the {Unity forum}. Well there is :) Your's truly pitches in every now and then and draws up the sketches...psst...I made this one ;)It was inspired by {this card}. I added purple rhinestones to the center of the butterflies on the flowers but the picture didn't capture their sparkle. It's really cute irl.

I've been playing with some of the older {ippity} sets lately....it's so much fun to fall in love with them all over again :)

I stamped the birdcage from {Because of You} in Certainly Celery and added some rhinestones for a little bling. I really need to get more rhinestones...I hate being limited on colors :)

I still need LOTs of birthday cards....they are sort of never ending aren't they? Anyway, I used the Happy Birthday from {Life's Little Moments}. I inked the sentiment with my markers and used my stamp-a-ma-jig to get it in a straight line. It fit perfectly in my SU word window punch.

The layout is this week's {Mojo Monday sketch} and it's a good one :) I added the sentiment were the little embellies were suppose to go.

I hope you are enjoying your Saturday! I'm enjoying a lazy day....a much needed lazy day at home. Tomorrow we are going back to the lake to hang out with my family for Father's Day.
Today I have a quick {Paper Makeup Stamps} birthday card using two of my favorite sets:

{Raindrops and Rainbows} I stamped the clouds on October Afternoon paper and made my rainbow out of embroidery floss. I couldn't help but add the gingham bow ;)

I'm getting better at little boy scrapbook layouts. Clean and simple, clean and simple...that's what I have to tell myself the whole time :) This one for today's {Friends with Flair} post is just one of those random days where my son was making a goofy face everytime I grabbed the camera. I love random layouts!!
The funky circles and the ones along the bottom are from {Together We Bloom} but I can't remember where the moment stamp came from....does that mean I have too many stamps?!?!

Happy Hip Hop folks! I'm exhausted today...we spent all day yesterday at the lake for Mattea's birthday. We had her birthday party over the weekend but yesterday was her official 5th birthday. It wasn't real warm here and the water was freezing but the kids didn't seem to mind...I did :) Luckily I'm more of a lay on the beach and sun girl so I avoided the water when I could.
I made a really simple wedding card for today's hop. The mistletoe from the {Kissmas and Mistletoe} set always make me think of a wedding bouquet. I added a sentiment from {Fall for You} and voila.

I have one more goodie to show you today. I went yard saleing with my Mom a few weekends ago and found this fabulous window for $5. I was so happy :) I brought it home and dressed it up with this sign that I saw on the {Sweetwater blog}. The are a local fabric company and they posted this sign that one of them bought for their Mom on Mother's Day. Lucky me, the store they bought it at was just about 20 minutes away so I HAD to have one. I hung it over the window with twine and it's my new favorite thing in my house :) Aren't all those words the best!!

I finally got to use one of my new Unity purchases for this layout of my son's last birthday. {It's Your Day} is a must have birthday set :) This layout (and today's post) is really simple but I couldn't decide which photos to use...so I used them all :) I love all the different expressions on Miller's face as he opens his presents...priceless!!

Ughh.....we had a REALLY dreary weekend here in Colorado. It has been raining for three days and it's been cold and gloomy. Normally I wouldn't mind BUT we had Mattea's 5th birthday party and my nephews 2nd birthday party at my house on Sunday. My hubby and I spent the whole month of May getting the backyard all ready for this party and we ended up inside :( And we had A LOT of people here so we were a little cramped. It ended up being a really fun day and Mattea LOVED all her presents. She is ADDICTED to Edward from the Twilight movies and she was super excited to get both of the first movies and an Edward blanket.Every present she opened was in her words, "JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED", yes she yelled it :) It was super fun to see her so excited about every present.

Today's {Hippity Hop card} must have been inspired by the cold weather...I decided to make a Christmas card using {Season of Joy}.

The layout is this week's {Mojo Monday sketch}. I ended up adding a few extra embellishments than the layout had...I think I'm addicted to ribbon. The card just felt bare without it :)

Tell me you've seen the new {Tweet Things} set from {Paper Makeup Stamps}!! Isn't it the best :) I LOVE every image in this set and there are some seriously cute sentiments as well. I used the hummingbird for today's review card. This bird was simple easy to color and really quick...this card (surprisingly) only took about 15 minutes....that's fast people :)

I hope you aren't all tired of scrapbook layouts....I've been working really hard to get my kids school albums caught up and am glad to say I'm done!! They are all officially ready for the next school year :) I can't believe I'm going to have a thrid grader, a kindergartener and a preschooler....all at three different school...talk about lots of running around.

The high school here has an indoor swimming pool so the elementary school gets to take their classes over for P.E. They get two weeks worth of swimming lessons which I think is way cool. I wish I could have done that when I was a kid. Macy loved it but it is a long two weeks with a tired and hungry kid :)

Here is the layout I made for her album:

I used the {ippity} set {A Little Buggy} for the layout....can you tell which stamp I used :)

Yep the tree.....I just LOVE those circles and when the layout took on a circle theme I was so excited that I could try this idea. I stamped the image in colors that coordinated with the dp and then used circle punches to punch them out off center. I have to admit the punches were a bit lazy on my part....I didn't want to tape off the tree trunk so the punches cropped the branches off.

Have you seen the new issue of Card Creations!?!?! It is packed with tons of fabulous creations :)Have you seen the rainbow card on page 8??? IT'S MINE :) This is only my second publication but it totally feels like my first. I was really bummed when my first pub card was only featured really small in the {Paper Crafts} issue it was in because it was used as a online card :(

Meet Wally...the newest member of the {Paper Makeup Stamps} monster family :)I absolutely LOVE the expression on his face. I had to try out my newest copic additions on him. I'm slowly building my collection so I don't have a lot of colors for good blending. I bought these for skin tones but I think it works well for him. I usually color the monster really bright so it's a nice change to see the colors pop all around him.

There is a FUN challenge on the {Paper Makeup Stamps Blog}...it's a sketch challenge. I used the sketch but flipped it upside down. I have to say...this was a fun one :)
