Today the {Paper Makeup} design team members are throwing a baby shower for our own {Lisa McKinney} who is having a sweet little baby boy. I had to use {THIS} sweet sentiment from the {Paper Makeup Stamps} line. There are so many fabulous baby sentiments but this one is just so precious!I tried to keep my card soft and sweet and I think the colors accomplished that.

YAY!!! Today is the day I'm Chicago bound :) I'm so excited to meet some of my fellow {ippity} design team members and all the fabulous Unity peeps. Also {Katie} and {Ginger} from {Paper Makeup Stamps} will be staying with {Jenny} and I and I'm so happy to meet them too. I'm not looking forward to the plane ride but I gotta get there some how :)
I really love today's Hip Hop card...it's very basic but I love the way to orange pops against the grey.
If it's not been apparent from my last couple posts I'm in need of lots of birthday cards again :) I feel like I've been using the same stamps a lot lately but they are so cute...I LOVE that happy stamp from {A Little Buggy}...it's just so fun :) The birthday sentiment is from {Fall for You}.

**Sorry for the late post**
I have no idea where my brain has been lately...well actually I do. It's been busy getting ready to leave on Wednesday and getting today's post ready completely slipped my mind. I was sipping coffee this morning, searching through blogs when it occured to me this hadn't been published....or typed :(So here is my H{ippity} Hop card using this weeks {Mojo Monday Sketch}. This sketch was actually super tough for me and I'm still not sure I did it quite right. The other Mojo Makers cards are awesome but the dimensions of mine just seem wrong....oh well...to late now.

I had a request for lots of little kid birthday cards. Those are my faves :) They can be as cute and whimsy as you want...they make me happy! A few of them needed to be little boy cards which are tough for me. Not as tough as big boy cards but still. I immediately thought of the {Paper Makeup Stamps} dinos and monsters. What little boy doesn't like dino's and monsters :)Plus {Bronto} is so stinkin fun to paper piece. The birthday sentiment is from the set {Birthday Cheer}.
My son approved this card so I guess I did alright :)

I've been having an all out battle with the clock this week....and it's winning! I have so much to get done before I leave for Chicago next week and it's a mad scramble everyday to accomplish as much as I can. However, yesterday in the middle of all the crazy I had a moment that made me slow down. I realized two weeks from yesterday it's my 30th birthday. I mean I knew it was coming but not quite so fast. I realized all the rushing I'm doing just to get things done might be part of that. My goal for myself for the next 30 years is to slow down and savor the journey....pretty good idea I thought :)
Speaking of birthday's...today's Hip Hop card was a birthday card for my dear friend and CHA travel buddy {Jenny}. This card was so fun to make and I love all the fun elements together. I used LOTS of {ippity} for this one:

I've been debating lately about updating my blog. It's no secret that I have an addiction to gingham and polka dots are a close second. If you look through my cards I rarely make one with out one or both elements. I decided to retitle my blog {Gingham and Polka Dots} and update the look to reflect who I am as a paper crafter. One more week....then I get a two week break from school!! I'm so ready too. I have to write an 8 page paper this week on ethics....blahhhhh!! That means my crafty time is going to be almost nonexistant :(
Luckily I found some time to get to my H{ippity} Hop card this weekend. I still have a lot of projects to finish up before I leave for Chicago. I used this weeks {Mojo Monday sketch} but I altered it ever so slightly. This card took a lot longer than it should have and I'm still not sure I'm loving it.

Friday!!! Oh how fast these weeks are going.....I'M SO GLAD. I'm Chicago bound in less than two weeks people...so excited about it :) I get to go meet all my favorite crafty people at CHA and look at paper craft stuff...what could be better!! This will be my first trip and I'm SO EXCITED...did I already say that ;)
Plus, I get a two week break from school...a much needed one for sure!!!
But today I have a Friends with Flair card using some FABULOUS {Unity stamps}. If you subscribe to my blog through google reader you probably already saw it. I hate when I publish my card too early....oh well...here it is again :) It's a bit more simple of a layout than what I normally do but paper piecing that sewing machine from the set {Sew Cute} took awhile. I wish my sewing machine looked like this...my favorite colors and everything :)
Did you see the CHA peeks on the {Unity blog} yesterday....poor poor pocketbook. I can't wait to get my hands on these babies!!!

WOW...another fast weekend!! It was a FUN one though. It was Eaton Days which just meant a parade, a festival in the park, fun games for the kids and fireworks :) Maybe that's why it went so fast....we were busy.
I'm this weeks hostess for the H{ippity} Hop and my challenge is to case ANY {ippity} card from the {SCS Gallery}.
My card today was inspired by this one from Carisa. I love the bright colors she used and of course the gingham ;) {CLICK HERE} to leave her card some love :)
I changed the colors but still kept things bright and included some green gingham :) I loved the layout and didn't change a thing about it. The ribbon treatment was super fun so I made sure and kept it the same too. Oh, and that stick pin was such a cute touch....can you tell I love her card :)The sentiment is different but they are both from the set {Delightful Little Things}.

My daughter Mattea is IN LOVE with this line of stamps coming out. This new {Paper Makeup Stamps} set {Dandy Wishes} makes me want to give {Katie} a great big kiss...hehe. I LOVE this set AND it's PERFECT for scrapbooking but still great for cardmaking. This set is versatile people and a MUST HAVE!!!!
I couldn't resist making a layout for Macy's 8th birthday!I sat down with this set and my creativity was SPARKED!! This layout came together so easily and is one of my new faves.

I'm SO sad Taken with Teal is no longer and SU color....seriously....it was one of my all time faves :( Luckily I had lots of cardstock left and I'm NOT parting with my ink pad...it's mine FOREVER!

I have a really quick post today. I saw this picture on {Tenia's blog} and my creativity went wild....I love these colors!!!It's for her {Jazzy Paper Inspiration Challenge}...I had to play!! I threw this card together yesterday morning before we left for my parent's house. I was suppose to be packing but this was WAY more fun!!

These colors are so vibrant and fun paired together. I used an old {Mojo sketch} for the layout.
