{Paper Makeup Stamps} is the sponsor this week on the {2 Sketches 4 You} blog. I have to admit when I first saw this sketch I was completely baffled but once I sat down this card idea came really quickly. This card only took me about a half an hour which is lightning fast for me. My favorite thing about Laura and Kazan's sketches is that there is so much room for interpretation...their sketches always spark my creativity. I used the set {Home Matters}. I LOVE this set and can't believe this is the first time I got it inky....shame on me!

The papers are some old Stampin Up and the last scraps of my {Jillibean Soup} paper in the fun red print. I actually thought I was already out but found some hanging out at the bottom of my scrap basket. I think I might have to get some more....I just LOVE this paper!

Hey everyone!! I'm back with a typical Monday card :) A little mojo mixed with a little hippity hopping....what could be better!!!
Of course I choose the square route for this weeks round or square {Mojo Monday Sketch}. I'm just plain chicken of the round ones....staying within my happy little box on this challenge.
Kelly has challenged us this week to make a back to school card for this weeks {Hippity Hop challenge}. I don't typically make monochromatic cards but for some reason I was feeling very vanilla and this is what happened. It's really all the patterned paper and ribbons fault. I couldn't decide which color to use with it so I decided to just stick with the one color. I really like it. And before you ask...the {ippity} stamp set I used is {Book It}. It's there....I promise...it's just the background. {Book It} has been my bestseller this release and it's only on sale through tomorrow!!!

I LOVE a good inspiration challenge...don't you! I use to do challenges ALL the time and lately as time has gotten more tight I don't get to as many as I would like...but when I saw this {Moxie Fab Trigger} I couldn't resist. I absolutely adore the bright colors with the crisp white....and I don't use white that often on cards (I lean more towards vanilla). Anyway, here is my take on the challenge.

I used the stamp sets {Birthday Cheer} and {Color It-Summer} from {Paper Makeup Stamps}. I stamped the flowers on patterned paper and just cut them out....easy peasy birthday card :)

It also fits this weeks {Makeup 4 the Weekend} challenge to make a birthday card. There is some great inspiration on the {PMS blog}...check it out!

Happy Hip Hop!!!
I'm back with yet ANOTHER card using {Authentic Man}...seriously I didn't think I would LOVE this set as much as I do but it's all I use from this release!! Well not ALL...I used {Life Is The Journey} on this card too but I can't help but gravitate toward this set...it's AMAZING. And it's back in stock on my {Sales Blog}. Do you have your {ippity} yet?!? I thought this would be a fun twist to a wedding or anniversary card. The color combo just sort of happened, I've had tons of scraps hanging out on my desk top. I've been creating plenty lately with the kids in school but it's all for a publication call. I'm hoping at least a few things get picked up but I promise to share my rejects here with you ;)
I stamped the scroll circle on cork and then ran it through my cuttlebug with a nestablitlies die. I love how it grounds the flower and gives the simple layout a little punch.

Monday, August 23rd

They are gone...they are ALL gone.... Today is the first day of school for ALL of my kiddos and Macy and Mattea are both gone all day. WOW...it's weird. It's nothing new really...they have all been in school together before but this year Mattea is in all day kindergarten so I have two kids gone all day. I'm still undecided about what I think about it. Today I'm enjoying the quiet and the free time because boy did this house need cleaned....I've avoided it for the last few weeks of summer and it's driving me CRAZY!!!!!!
I made today's card using the {Mojo Monday sketch} and this weeks {Hippity Hop Challenge}. Karen challenged us to use paint on our project so I distressed the edges of my card with white acrylic paint...just realized it doesn't really go with the cream....hmmmmm...shopping today too ;)I stamped the Daddy and me stamp from {Authentic Man} in Real Red, Night of Navy, More Mustard and Old Olive. A little ribbon and it's done...I think I will save this for my hubby for his birthday :)

Just a quick scrapbook layout today!
I made this for Macy's album...she braved the cold weather to go to the Broncos game with her dad. He tried to get me to go but I prefer my football curled up on the couch in my sweats with plenty of food close by ;) I used the Unity kits {A Little Happy}, {Delightful Moments} and {Confession: I {luv} Unity}.

Today is the official end of our summer break :( Macy starts 3rd grade today...I can't believe how fast summer went this year. I'm really not ready to give up sleeping in yet! Mattea and Miller will start in the next few days....and as much as I would love to sleep in I'm also looking forward to a little me time :)
I spent yesterday crafting with the kids and WOW does my craft room look terrible. I'm pretty sure their goal yesterday was confetti :)

Can you feel it?!? The change that's coming....school is starting, the weather is cooling and FOOTBALL is getting underway. I {heart} fall and I {heart} football. I'm already planning my fantasy football team and planning our first football party. This year I'm doing it up right....I made invites :) Of course I had to use one of my all time fave monsters from {Paper Makeup Stamps}. I love the {football fan monster} and doesn't it look like he's singing the sentiment?!?! I made it myself using the font Jailbird Jenna. I sing this line all season long....you know...from Monday night football...hehe...I LOVE it :)

Is everyone LOVING all the NEW {ippity} now that's it's FINALLY been released :) Last week was so exciting...the release party was a blast and I'm loving seeing all the new {ippity} creations. The {SCS gallery} is looking fabulous :)

My card for today uses this week {Mojo Monday sketch} created by your truly :) I sent Julee {this card} and she drew up this fabulous sketch. Make sure you come and play. I also played along with this weeks H{ippity} Hop challenge to use string. I got some bakers twine from {Papertrey} when I was at CHA and I love it. I used it instead of ribbon on this masculine card using the new {ippity} release {Authentic Man}.

I have to say I wasn't jumping up and down when I saw this set...I despise making masculine cards BUT that was before I had this set in my hands. I've NEVER loved any masculine stamps like I love these....SERIOUSLY people...buy it. It's so fantastic and I've already made a few male cards without any serious damage to my mojo...it's a MUST HAVE, GO TO guy card set :)

I LOVE the new {Paper Makeup Stamps} set {Color It Summer}. Lindsey Spencer has been drawing the most amazing sets for Katie lately and this is definately going to be a go to set for me. I LOVE the size of these images and they are great for paper piecing or coloring :)I decided to paper piece the images for today's card in some old gingham Stampin Up papers. It was a super simple card to put together. I added a sentiment from my other go to set {Birthday Cheer}.
I really like the grey bow...why don't I use this color more often?!?

Another day closer to the release....I'm SO EXCITED!!! It's so much FUN to party on the {SCS forum} and I can't wait to see these new sets being used by EVERYONE!! I'm always so inspired by all the {ippity} chicks and customers...it's so neat to see everyone's personal style shine through.
I'm really excited about the sets being peeked today...my personal favorite is Quotes A'La Happy...it's such a fun, whimsical set :)
