Why does time never seem to be on our side?? Where did the week...or the month go!!
Thursday's are always a highlight in my week though.....gotta love the {HIP HOP} :) I have another magazine reject today....and there are still PLENTY more :) This one was one of my favorites... I worked the Rubbernecker booth at two local stamp shows and did a demo for 4 days straight using a custom made ink pad....needless to say after that much time playing I brought everything home that I needed to make my own.
Wild Honey
Shabby Shutters
Aged Mahogany
I love the multicolored efffect for this solid image....and it was super quick :)
I even stamped the sentiment in it too.
Now hop on over to the {ippity} blog for this week's tutorial...I just LOVE them!!

Round or Square? Seems like a simple question right?!?!Not for this chick :) Attempt one at today's {Mojo Monday} card was square and it ended up in the trash. I tried to break out of my box but it just didn't happen this week. BUT I did keep the main panel square so that kind of counts....right?!
I did use {ippity} on this card too....can you tell....look close. I used the label stamp from {A Moment in Time} on the flower cut with the MFT die {Flower and Leaf trio}. See!The sentiment was printed in the font {Mr. and Mrs. Popsicle}.
I also used last week's {Moxie Fab Trigger} as inspiration for this card. I love this quilt...the colors are so warm but I think if I had my choice I would take the bench instead. Now head on over to the {ippity} blog to see all this week's
H{ippity} hop participants.

How's it rollin everyone?!?! I thought this sentiment from Unity's {A little happy KOTM} was kind of fun with this bicycle image from the Melody Ross kit {One Precious Life}. I made this card for a publication call awhile back and since it was rejected you get to see it today for {Friends with Flair}. One nice thing about being rejected is all the cards that build up to be shown on your blog :) I happen to really like this card and I never take it personally when I don't get picked long as I like it...I'm GOOD!!
Hope everyone has a good weekend....I get to watch my girls cheer tonight during the high school football game half time show...can't wait :)

Flip Flop Hip Hop
YAY!!!! We've all been waiting for this Thursday for awhile now!!! WHY?!?!
Because it's a
{Karen} came up with this idea at CHA and everyone was on board immediately. For today's hop, the Unity dt is using {ippity} and the {ippity} design team is using Unity. Since we are all one big happy family the idea just worked :)

I choose the Melody Ross kit {One Of A Kind}....I LOVE this set :)The scallop border and flower melt my heart!! I planned on making a card but once I got my hands on this set and saw the funky self sentiment I immediately thought of these pictures of Mattea and had to scrapbook instead!!
The second I get the camera out she's posing! We had spent the day playing in the can't really tell in the pics but her nose is covered in sunscreen.

Here are a few detail shots:I colored the scallops, sentiment and flowers with my SU markers to get the multi colors. The sentiments in this kit are some of my many ideas floating around in my head.

If you didn't start this hop at the beginning make sure you {CLICK HERE} to start at the Unity won't want to miss this week's creations...they ROCK!!!

Quixotic Paperie is an online retailer of PMS in the UK.
Their design team and the PMS design team have created some yummy eye candy for you so make sure you check out the full list of participants at the bottom of this post.

Help...I think I must have caught a bug of some kind. Everytime I sit down with my {Paper Makeup Stamps} I end up making a whole card SET!! I used the SUPER adorable set {Snow Happy} for these cards. I just LOVE snowmen...but not the real ones...I don't like snow ;)
The colors were inspired by this weeks {Play Date Cafe} color challenge. I squealed a little when I saw these colors....some of my faves.Totally inspiring right?!?Of course I used this weeks {Mojo Monday} sketch for one of the cards...the other was inspired by the leftovers ;)I had intended to make this card clean and simple but once I got a hold of the polka dot paper it just didn't happen. I'm glad it didn't because I love these paper together. bounce on along to see what the rest of the hop peeps made using {Paper Makeup Stamps}

My kids have Monday off from school so we have a three day weekend....LOVE that!
I have a scrapbook layout for today's {Friends with Flair}. It's for Macy's school album...her first day of third grade :)She had so many nerves this year because she was going to a new school. She was afraid she was going to be the smallest kid in her class....I think that's cute. She isn't the smallest in her class but walking next to the fifth graders is a bit intimidating....those kids are tall!
Here is a detail shot:I used LOTS of Unity sets...what to know which ones?
{Delightful Moments}
{Priceless Relections}
{Capture Life}
{Simply Magical}
{Favorite Things}
phew....told you I used a lot of them :)
I LOVE being able to show so much love to so many Unity sets on a layout. Sadly most of the stamps I used today were inked for the very first time...I need more stamp time ;)
Make sure you head on over to the {Unity blog} to see all this weeks participants...if you find the blinkie you will win FREE stamps....just saying :)

Check these out!Aren't they cute!! The idea for them TOTALLY wasn't mine...I found a similiar set on {Jennifer McGuire's} blog awhile ago and I knew I wanted to make a birthday set using the {Paper Makeup Stamps} set {Dandy Wishes}
Here are some closeups each of the cards.I printed the sentiment from my computer using the font {Eight Fifteen}. It was the perfect fit for along the bottom of the card.
The color choices were completely random because I was just using up scraps but I think they all ended up working together nicely.
I need to make up a bunch more of this sets...I ALWAYS need birthday cards!

Tuesday, September 14th

Every now and then you come across a card that just HAS to be cased. I saw {THIS CARD} from Giovanna Smith on the Cards blog the other day and rushed to recreate it. I changed the colors and the stamp images but it's essentially the same card...I LOVE IT!!!The flowers are from the Unity KOTM {} and the sentiment is from the Verve set {Circular Sayings}

I'm this week's hostess for the H{ippity} Hop challenge and I decided to do a color challenge this week :){Lisa Arana} made the cute little color blinkie for me...thanks Lisa! My card this week uses the {ippity} sets:
{Music of my Heart}
{Fall For You}
{House a Home}

I made it for our VERY SPECIAL guest designer from the last release {Stephanie Muzzlin}. We just LOVED having her join us and couldn't pass up the opportunity to show her how much we love her!! Her birthday isn't actually until tomorrow but swing on by her blog today and give her and early Happy Birthday!!!
While the {ippity} design team is celebrating Stephanie many of the {ippity} chicks are making special farewell cards for Michelle Ogdahl. She has helped get {ippity} were we are at today....she is one AMAZING women and she is leaving us :( You can see Angela's post about the transition {HERE}.
I will miss Michelle so much but am really looking forward to getting to know Amy Tillmans who will be taking over her job!!
I totally don't have a mojo card this paper time...but make sure you head on over to the {Mojo Monday blog} and check out this weeks sketch.

Friday, September 10th

Clean and Simple is the name of the game on this card. I have a {Paper Makeup Stamps} review card for you today using the newly released set {Little Moments}. I just adore this set and really wanted to make the sentiment the I kept things clean and just used a really, REALLY bright color to add some pizazz. I love the neutral black and grey with the bold and sassy pink. I added some pink stitching just because I had to :) My new {Lacey Circles} nesties add a punch of pink and a few buttons were all I felt it needed to be complete.
You could use this set and any color combo you wanted to make a really quick and easy gift set.

Thursday, September 9th

So do you play along with the {Hip Hop} sketch challenges each week? I love a great's always the perfect jump off point. This week we are on challenge 24 and this is the first scrapbook layout...check it out: The layout came from {Christi Snow} and was drawn up by me. I knew I had to play...I LOVE this sketch.
Lucky for me I created the perfect moment to scrapbook last week. I had the most peaceful morning all to myself with the kids at school. I was feeling really happy, and carefree...a morning of crafting can do that to me. Well apparently I was too carefree because I locked myself out of the house on my way to pick up my son. I grabbed the ladder and broke into the only open window in the house :) I shoved Miller through the window and he let us in. Of course I had to take pics...I wanted to remember this day.He loved going through the window and was pretty proud of himself for helping. Want to see a close up of the key I made using the {ippity} set {Music of my Heart}'s my favorite part.
It's lots of silver embossing powder...doesn't it look cool!! I'm already working on a tutorial for next week on how I made this....but today head on over to the {ippity} blog were our guest designer Angie has this weeks tutorial :)
