Welcome Hip Hoppers!!!! Today is our second Flip Flop Hip Hop.....they are so much fun!! I love getting to use my Unity sets...make sure you start the hop at the {Unity blog} so you don't miss anything...you know you want to see what the Unity DT did with their {ippity} stamps right?!?
Today's Hip Hop theme is ENCOURAGEMENT because October is breast cancer awareness month. Since I've been lucky enough to have no one close to me get breast cancer I was a little stumped at first. Once the brainstorming started I realized their are so many times in our lives when we need encouragement.
My daughter Mattea is 5 and is...ummm....well....a handful! She has been my difficult child since birth...I'm pretty sure she always will be. She can be sweet as pie...the most amazing kid in the whole word but she has an alter ego ;) She is constantly getting praise from her teachers and even other kids parents...I can't tell you how many times parents have come up to me just to say how helpful she is. She is SUPER GOOD at school...I think she must need to vent when she comes home because the ornery comes pouring out.
They have a color system at school {purple, green, yellow and red)...they start on green and go to yellow and red when they get in trouble and can move up to purple when they have been REALLY good. She is on purple quite a bit...yesterday in fact. When they end the day on purple or green they get to pick something from the tresure box. I decided to make a chart for home to "encourage" her to be just as good here.
She loves it! Hope it works :)
The board is actually a magnetic dry erase board that I covered with patterned paper. This way it's easy to move the little marker.
Here is a close up of the magnet I made using the Unity set {Garden Variety} and the sentiment is from the set {School Rock Star}. The background piece is cut from a piece of cardboard and then I paper pieced the ribbon. Here are a few close up of the flowers from the KOTM {Delightful Moments}.
Make sure you check out the {Unity site} today...they are releasing 4 BRAND NEW Jillibean Soup kits today. I'm a HUGE Jillibean fan so you can bet you will be seeing them here soon.
AND come chat with us on the {SCS forums} for a chance to win some stamps.
Now hop on over to {Stephanie's blog} to see her fantabulous project :)

Monday, October 25th

It's official...I'm a rebel. Two months in a row I've said nope to round and square.
Didn't even try this week...just threw caution to the wind and made my card a great big rectangle....yep...that's the shape for me. I know...I know...I should have at least tried but I really wanted this card to be special and working with a round or square card zaps my mojo...I needed my mojo :)After all this card is for one of my dearest, most specialist friends. {Kelly} from the {ippity} design team is celebrating a birthday today and her challenge today on the {ippity} blog is to make a birthday card...we all need them right.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KELLY!!!
I hope you have a super special birthday...you deserve it. Take time to just celebrate YOU today...spoil yourself rotten!!
Love ya girl :)If you happened to stop by the {ippity} blog yesterday than you already saw this little flower. The design team made Kelly a bouquet of flowers...were dropping them in the mail with our cards and together she is going to have one GORGEOUS flower arrangement.
Here is a close up of the layers:I used the {Blossom Nestabilities} to cut the flowers. The tissue paper is actually from Unity. Sometimes the boxes come with it in their to hold your stamps in place. I used to throw it out...what was I thinking??? Save that stuff...it's the perfect kraft color for LOTS of projects ;)
Here is the little duo together:Don't forget to stop by the {Mojo Monday blog} and the {ippity} blog for the hop participants!!!

Need some {ippity}?? All the sets are available on my {SALES BLOG}.
Today I used the stamp set {Fall For You}

I colored a BUNCH of Diem's {Retro Cutie Critters} from {Paper Makeup Stamps}. LOVE these stamps!! I have had them for awhile and have not had a chance to show them much love. BUT I was in a coloring mood this week so I thought I would practice. I ordered a bunch more Copics from {Scrapmart} :) LOVE happy mail!!!

Thursday, October 21st

Happy Hip Hop!! This is the highlight of my week :)
ESPECIALLY this week....sick kids...sick mom...computer crashed....hubby out of town :(
I'm SOOOOO ready for this week to give me a break.
I didn't think I was going to be able to participate in this weeks Hip Hop because all my pictures and photo editing software are all on my other computer (I had to go buy a new one). BUT since I like to be one step ahead I checked my posts just in case and wouldn't you know I already loaded the pics onto blogger.com.....PHEW!!!
So here you go...this weeks Thankful project.
I'm not much of a project girl but this came along really easy and I really like it. Perfect little gift card holder don't you think. The thanks sentiment is from {Regal Greetings}. Here is a side angle shot so you can see how I wrapped the ribbon around.
The flower and ribbon combo can actually just slip right off so this could be completely reusuable.
Need some {ippity}?? {CLICK HERE} to check out my sales blog.
Did you realize it's less than a month until the NEW {ippity} release...I can already feel the excitement building....LOVE NEW RUBBER!!!!
One more thing....the winners are being annouced today for the WCMD challenges!
The winner from my No Patterned Paper challenge was:
Please send Jimmi an email at jimmi.mayo@gmail.com
Now make sure you continue hopping by heading on over to {Stephanies blog}.

Monday, October 18th

I have a multiple challenge card today....love when I can do that :)
I really REALLY wanted to participate in {Embellish Magazine's} color challenge. Something about these colors just kept calling my name. They are just a bit unexpected...and I love any color combo with red in it :) I also really wanted to try making a felt flower using my {MFT Rolled Flower die}..these might be addicting.I happened to luck out with this color combo too...{Karen} is our H{ippity} Hop hostess and she challenged us to use pink in honor of breast cancer awareness.I can't tell you how happy I am with how this card turned out. I was on a MAJOR mojo flop and this card took me two and a half hours....I almost gave up a few different times. I mean I had the color combo...I had this weeks {Mojo Sketch} so basically everything was all planned out and I was just at a loss. Good news is this card FINALLY gave me my mojo back...YAY!!
Plus, I found a new place in my house to take pictures of my cards and the light is so much better...this makes me happy too!!! Make sure you stop by the {Mojo Monday blog} to play along with this weeks sketch and see some Mojo Maker eyecandy. The {ippity} blog should be your next stop...lots of FANTASTIC inspiration on their today too!!!

Need some {ippity}?!?! {CLICK HERE} to go to my sales blog...I have all the sets available for purchase.

I used {Regal Greetings} for today's card :)

Friday, October 15th

LOVE a Friday like today...the kids don't have school so that means sweat pants ALL DAY!!!!! I wish I was going to be relaxing more than I am though...stinking school wants another paper...what's with those teachers ;)
This is the final paper for my...get this....AMERICAN CONSTITUTION class....BLAH...then I get to move on to my psychology courses...looking forward to those :)
For today's {Friends with Flair} post I decided to share a get better soon card I made a while back. I used the set {Heart Times} by Unity and {Now and Always} by {ippity}. I have ALL the {ippity} sets available on my {SALES BLOG} so if you need anything swing on by :) I really like the gray with all the bright colors!! Maybe it should be my new go too color...gonna have to think about that one.
Hope you all have a great weekend...be back on Monday for the H{ippity} Hop and {Mojo Monday}!

Are you enjoying this week's themed Hip Hop?!
If you didn't start today's Hip Hop from the Unity blog {CLICK HERE} so you don't miss out on any of the excitement today.
{Unity} is launching their NEW website today...pretty exciting....I can't wait to check it out :) Make sure you come by the {SCS forum} today and chat with us...it's always a FUN time :)
I decided to make a Halloween tag using a clear acetate tag I had on hand. I bought a mini album and have used them for a couple different projects but never just as a tag. I like the look of the clear but I had a hard time NOT over embellishing it. I don't leave blank space alone very well...to me it looks a little plain but I like that you can really see the shape of the tag against the bag. Here is a close up so you can see all the details.I stamped the "happy" from {A Little Buggy} right on the acetate tag using Stazon ink. The stickers are from October Afternoon and fit just perfectly.
The pumpkin is from the {ippity} set {Fall For You}...isn't it cute all polka dotted!!! I wish my pumpkins were that sweet :)
Now head on over to see what the talented Stephanie has in store for you today!!!

I was just "organizing" my computer files...yes I even organize those and I came across this card I made using {Rubbernecker Stamps}. I forgot that I hadn't shown it on my blog yet. I help out Dave....Mr. Rubbernecker...when he comes to Colorado to do stamp shows....local girls there is another one in Loveland on October 22nd and 23rd at the Event Center in Loveland. I picked up this cute mouse image during one of the August shows and was eager to practice my copic skills on it. Isn't it cute...I think I might have to get a few more from this line...they are super fun to color :)

Monday, October 11th

I'm always thrilled when Katie releases NEW {Paper Makeup Stamps} monsters. I'm even happier when I get to feature them on my blog. My hubby asked why I colored {Hershey} red...my answer....BECAUSE I CAN :) They are so fun to color...bright green, wild yellow, bold red...it doesn't matter :) I didn't know for sure what sentiment I was going to use for {Hershey} so I went digging through my {Paper Makeup Stamps} and found one :) Neither of these sets were designed for this monster but wouldn't you know they work just PERFECTLY!!!! Gotta LOVE having such a wonderful bunch of stamps at your finger tips. The sentiment is from {Lucky Me} and the "chocolate splotch" is actually the bug splatter from {Buggy Sayings}.
All the NEW releases are available for purchase on the website so swing by and pick up your favorites :)

Today we are celebrating a super SPECIAL day for a super SPECIAL {ippity} design team member.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN!!!!
Her birthday is tomorrow..make sure you leave her LOTS of love!
Of course the rest of the design team couldn't go without celebrating so we decided to make her cards and projects with a cupcake theme...fun huh!
Here is my birthday card for Karen (it's in the mail)I used {THIS} cupcake template...I was going to make my card cupcake shaped but I don't do shaped cards well...so I decided one big delicious one on the front was good too. I was having trouble deciding on how to decorate the base and finally it hit me...foil. I ran a few sheets of foil through my crimper and voila. Well actually it took a few attempts and I finally had to back it with cardstock and then run it through so that it would hold it's shape as I tried to attach it. I think it turned out pretty cute. Hubby thought it was "pure genius"...hehe.
The {ippity} stamps I used were:
and
Both stamp sets are available on my {SALES BLOG}
Now hop on over to {Stephanie's blog}....she was just officially welcomed on full time as an {ippity} dt member....so HAPPY!!!!!
