December....this week....HOW did that happen. We just got done with Thanksgiving break and the kids are already asking about Christmas break...YIKES!!! Now matter how prepared I am or how ahead of the game I feel it ALWAYS sneaks up on me anyway.
My hubby's birthday is tomorrow and I still haven't made his card yet ;)
Maybe I should have used this weeks {Mojo Monday sketch} for his card...hummm...that would have made sense right?!?!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
I hope everyone has a great day with friends and family...we are at my Mom's with LOTS of family coming over...should be a GREAT day :)
A cousin of mine....(HI JO!) needed some Thanksgiving cards and I whiped this baby up using some of my favorite papers that I've been saving the scraps of.
Usually a time crunch TOTALLY cramps my mojo...but for this card everything just came together. Literally all the scraps were laying out on my desk and I just layered them up and VOILA!!! The polka dots were even already cut along the edges with my pinking shears. The sentiment is actually computer generated using {Digs my Heart} font.

Yep...HIP HOP a day EARLY!!!! WHY?!?! Well because {Unity stamps} is releasing a
BRAND NEW CO-BRAND....who?!?!

Birthday sets are ALWAYS my favorite....I make more birthday cards than any other. There was only problem...which CUTE image to use first. It really was a struggle. I eventually decided on the great big cake for my tag....Bag It, Tag It...that's today's HIP HOP theme :)

Who doesn't need cute little tags to make that gift extra special?!
I finally got to use the tags my friend {Jimmi} sent me :)
I have to say this may be a new addiction...it was SO FUN to make.
I stamped the background using the stars from the set and Mustard Seed ink from Ranger and then inked the edges. All I needed for this tag were the scraps of Crate Paper that I had laying on my desk. That's another nice thing about tags...they use less paper so you can create TONS more with the paper you have :) I paper pieced all the layers of the cake and stamped the sentiment on cardstock and cut it out with my nesties. Of course, gingham ribbon and stitching were a MUST!!!!

This weeks H{ippity} Hop challenge is to make a Christmas ornament and I'm pretty happy with how mine turned out...wanna see?

I stamped the {Gurnsey Gingham} background in green and the {Dots for Sure} background in red on the canvas and then cut strips and tied them around a pipe cleaner. It was pretty quick and very easy to do. I found it was easier to trim each strip as I went along. I was going to trim them all at the end but after a few they all started to get in the way. Before I finished adding all the strips I tied on the canvas handle because I wanted to make sure there would be enough room. A gingham ribbon and some jingle bells finished it off :)

Phew...what a week!! My blog was hoppin with the {ippity} release AND I've had a big paper for school to do this week. It's a good thing I work so far ahead or I wouldn't have been able to bring you this {Paper Makeup Stamps} card. A friend of mine need a baby shower card and luckily I have TONS of fabulous baby sentiments from {Paper Makeup} to choose from. I used the {Little Baby Soft and Sweet sentiment}.
This card was really quick and easy to make and could very easily be changed into a baby boy card just by switching the colors. I LOVE the layered scallops...so CUTE!!!Well I'm off again to finish my school work for this week...and hopefully to find some chill out time but I'm very optimistic about that ;)

I saw this weeks {Moxie Fab Trigger} and it took about five seconds to get to my craft room and start creating...OMG....I LOVE this picture!
I LOVE when inspiration hits you that hard and you just HAVE to create!!Here is what I came up with...using NEW {ippity} of course :)
I embossed the corner stamp from {Cherish Your Dreams} and inked up the sentiment with markers so that my butterfly was a beautiful pop of color. I love mixing red and pink....such a FUN combo :)
It only took about 15 minutes to make too which is HUGE for me. I LOVE having a clear idea in mind before I sit down and then have it actually turn out :)

It's probably NOT a surprise that this is my FAVORITE stamp of ALL TIME! It would have been with any name but the fact that it's named after me still gives me chills.
I LOVE {ippity} and I LOVE Unity and feel so honored and blessed to be a part of such an AMAZING company. Not just because they have great stamps...which they do...but becauase of the people. Thank you Angela, thank you Eryn, thank you Amy....and Christian, Tommy, Andrea, Broman...and EVERYONE else who works so hard to make this company GREAT!!!!

Weren't yesterday's sets AMAZING!!!! I love them both :)
Today's sets are just as wonderful.
I've been wanting a FUN go to sentiment set and How YOU Doin? is exactly that!!
Takes me back to CHA...Christain {Mr Unity} would say that. You remember the show Friends...how Joey would say it....How YOU doin?...well Christian does it better!!! I can't help but say it this way everytime I use the set. Ahhhhhhh the FUN memories :)

My cuppy card kinda looks like my blog huh?!?! I guess this is just my style ;)
I LOVE the rainbow of colors on the second card...I paper pieced the circle and then added the hearts over the top...no need to cut them out of the middle....too much work :)

It's here....it's FINALLY here!!
I get more and more excited for each NEW release but this one in particular has been making me squeal....A LOT!!!
EVERY set is absolutely AMAZING and hasn't the design team been AMAZING with the two sets being revealed today!!! We are doing things a bit different with this release...instead of showing just a peek we are revealing the WHOLE SET!!!

Today the Paper Makeup Artists are celebrating the arrival of the sweet baby boy of our fellow dt member {Ginger Schwerin}.
I got to meet Ginger at CHA...no seriously I did....SEE!
She was sweet, bubbly, energetic and had an amazing story. She shared her struggles of becoming a mother and I'm so happy that her little boy is about to arrive. She is going to make one AWESOME momma!

I'm SUPER, ultra, MEGA excited about today's {Hip Hop} theme. Today the {ippity} and Unity design teams are featuring Daily December albums. This will be my third year for the project and I LOVE it. Not all the dt members are into scrapping so make sure you start at the {Unity blog} to see what other creative projects the girls have come up with.
The last two years I have done a more "traditional" holiday album so this year I wanted to brighten things up.....I think I did :)

Since undoubtedly December is a BUSY MONTH...I decided this year to make up all my embellies ahead of time. This way I just have to add my photos, journal and reach for my bag of handmade embellishments. I cheated and used BOTH {ippity} and Unity this week but I'm sure you won't mind ;) And let me tell you....there are TONS of great stamps for this project...they don't have to be holiday specific either :)
