Happy 3rd Birthday Unity!!!!

Can you believe it's already been three years since we've been stamping with the FABULOUS red rubber from Unity. I remember seeing the KOTM's when they started hitting peoples blogs and wanting so badly to sign up. BUT since I was new to stamping I was trying to limit the companies I was addicted too.
HOWEVER...
the images were TOO CUTE to resist...I signed up to be a KOTM member and the rest is history.
I haven't missed a Kit of the Month since.
Or an ippity kit.
I own tons of the Unity kits.
Oh and the co-brands.
Yeah....it's still LOVE!!!

Friday, April 29th

Nothing NEW to share with you today.
Just mostly rambling :)
I can't believe it's been over a week since I posted. I didn't intend for that to happen but....well...it did! I've been incredibly busy lately and felt at times like life was trying to swallow me whole. While things have settled down I'm now dealing with the aftermath of the chaos.
Kitchen...DONE...I'll get to pics on my own blog eventually :)
BUT in the middle of the redo...
Macy's bedroom in the basement flooded
Miller got sick...thought it was chicken pox...turned out to be hives
He was put on a nebulizer and gladly shared his germs with me
Hosted Easter :)
Macy had a birthday yesterday...turned 9...and spent the day with the flu
Oh...my back went out in the middle of the kitchen floor process...hubby did it alone...and he wasn't happy about it
Final paper week for school (should be writing that NOW instead of this)
You get the idea....OVERLOAD!
I know the back issues and getting sick are my bodies way of MAKING me slow down because I'm stubborn like that but it just makes me more stressed to be accomplishing NOTHING.
BUT
I still try to be grateful and realize that things could be worse.
Like the friend of mine who lost her Grandmother unexpectedly this week
or
those dealing with the tornadoes
I'll get through it all...always do...just every know and then we have to take a break and regroup.
SO...I'll be back Sunday with a NEW Unity card
and Monday with a Mojo card
and my kitchen story will be here sometime
oh and Rubbernecker NEW releases too

Hey there...back with my Hip Hop card today!

I have no one I know who is in need of a get well soon card right now but I couldn't resist making another one. Something about this ADORABLE bandaid from the {Unity} kit:

{HEART TIMES}

keeps calling my name :)

I really should spread the love...that adorable tissue box makes my heart happy too.

Oh and that umbrella....yeah you MUST own this kit...seriously MUST!!

This time...I stamped it five times and paper pieced one to make it oh so CHEERY.

The sentiment is computer generated but it seemed to fit.

Why oh WHY are my {Mojo Monday} cards always late these days??

Well these last few Monday's I've had other posts that were necessary and instead of overloading you with mutiple posts on one day I've decided to just wait...you don't mind right?!?

I went VERY untraditional with the colors but I think that's why I like it so much. I've been diggin bright colors here lately...even painted my {in progress} kitchen a pretty bold color...can't wait to share it with you...SOON promise :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVA!

I'd like to tell you this is in the mail but I'd be lying ;) HOWEVER...it's coming SOON!!!!

We couldn't let today go by without celebrating our friend Eva.

I drew inspiration not only from today's photo but also from Eva herself. I had to use my scissors to make the edging for my card and I will be using this idea more often...such a FUN alternative to a straight edge layer. The colors started off close to the inspiration photo but once I started adding color...I couldn't stop :)

Have you been waiting for the "old people" from {Rubbernecker Stamps} to be available?? Well the waiting is over...you can find them on the site today :)
This has to be my FAVORITE of all the images...with my kitchen remodel underway...STILL...I feel a little like this. I even teased my husband that while he was at work I may need to find a stud to help out...he didn't find me funny...I have no idea why ;)

I paper pieced parts of Ethel and used my Copics for the rest.

Another H{ippity} Hop challenge today....and Lisa A picked some of my fave colors!

Good thing too because I almost forgot to make my card for today so I was in panic mode when I made it and I have to admit I've been liking my procrastination cards. I'm not into waiting until the last minute but lately with all that I've had going on lately it's been hard to keep up. When I have to throw something together quickly I'm surprised how quickly things come together and that I actually like them. But don't get me wrong...this won't be my permanent crafting style. Afterwards my heart was racing and I felt like I needed a drink ;) Stress is a no go for me.

Anyway how about the card.

SUPER glad this week is over...getting back into a school morning routine after spring break was almost as hard as the time change week. The kids were tired...I was running on slow mo with a thousand things to do. This weekend doesn't slow down any for us but at least we don't have to get a roll with things quite so early in the morning. I'm back today with a {Friends with Flair} card using the Unity stamp set: {Heart Times}

Ughh...thought I had this set to auto post on Tuesday but it didn't go live...so you get my {Mojo Monday} card on Thursday :) Have you seen the NEW {Rubbernecker Stamps} releases??
