I LOVE stamping when I make my cards...BUT every now and then I get a request for a card and I have NO STAMP to make it.  My husband would probably INSIST that I do if I just look hard enough...and now that I'm typing this he might be right...gonna have to go check.  Anyway...a lady wanted a birthday card for her son...the catch...she wanted it to say SON.
SO...I made a cool son background this morning in photoshop and made this card:
 I'm pretty sure this covers it...right ;)
I wasn't sure where this idea was headed but I at least met the requirement.  It took a while but with some fancy layering of my {Verve dies} and some texture plates I was satisfied with the end result.
Since I went to all the trouble of coming up with this background I thought I would share it here with you all today.  Feel free to save it your computer and print away.  I might have to come up with a few more of these...it was kind of fun :)
Hope you have a great weekend!!

Guess what?!?!  Today we are....
Isn't that the cutest little graphic!!!  Thanks Shemaine :)
{My Little Shoebox} has some of the most A.DOR.A.BLE papers EVER!!!  I had the hardest time choosing just a few to use.
I've been in a scrapping mood lately so I made another layout.
I used these MLS papers:
 Pretty Little Things {Little Miss Sunshine}
Magnificent {Enchanted Garden}
then I added in lots of fun embellishments stickers from {Audrey and Pretty Little Things}
 and of course a Unity stamp
{Little Miss Sunshine}
ALL the My Little Shoebox stamps are ON SALE on the Unity site

Not only are we thrilled to be collaborating on such a special 2-day event, but ONE of you will win ALL of the coordinating stamps and dies from the Samantha Walker collection! We will also have 1 winner each day from the comments that will receive 1 Samantha Walker stamp set and coordinating dies.

So be sure to enjoy our hop both days, leave comments on all of the blogs each day and check back to see if you won!

(winners will be posted on Wednesday, October 19th on the Unity Blog and Spellbinders Blog)

I got to use the {Cuckoo Clocks} spellbinders set for todays card...how cute is it!!!
and the matching stamp set is one of my FAVES from Samantha Walker :)

I decided to stamp the cute flower and instead of using the scallops as the topper for the clock...they looked like they would make some FUN & FUNKY corners!!
I also used the little flower die to add another layer onto the flower.  EVERYTHING coordinated so perfectly...match made in heaven FOR SURE!!!
Now please head over to Judy’s blog to see her AMAZING creation.
In case you get lost along the way, please visit the Unity Stamp Company blog for a list of all the blogs in today’s blog hop!

The flower is actually from a cute little flower scene stamp called {flowers w/butterfly} but I just cut off the one I wanted.

I broke out my {ippity} stamps this week and made a clean and simple card...well clean and simple for me...are you allowed this many layers in clean and simple??
I showed my mom {THIS CARD} over the weekend and she thought all the open space up top was "wasted space".  Guess she likes my busier cards better ;)
Here are the stamp sets I used on this card...
{Make Your Mark}
{The Best}
and
{How you Doin?}

The Best and How you Doin? are included in my

Swimming for Katie

"From October 10-12 some of the best stampers are joining together to support and encourage our friend and fellow stamper, Katie Renz, who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. If you're not familiar with her, Katie’s cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is {HERE}. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post {HERE}.
This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. In addition to the Keep Swimming Octopus, Marianne Walker and True =D Doodle Designs both also donated digis that are for sale. Direct donations are also being accepted. Information central is {HERE}. This is a permanent page that will stay active at i {heart} papers with current information and the full 3 day blog hop listing, as well as the donation button.
Here is my card for Katie...using the digi octopus.

Welcome to the Unity Stamp Company and Authentique blog hop!!
Today members from both teams are featuring the AMAZING line of {Authentique papers} and co-branded {Unity Stamps}!  I HAD to make a scrapbook layout using these YUMMY papers.  I've been wanting to start a personal scrapbook since I turned 30...I'm only a year plus late but THIS paper was PERFECT for my first layout.
 I used the Unity set
{You + Me = Bliss}
 Check out this wonderful sentiment...I cut it off the bottom of the Authentique paper.  I LOVE that they include them on their lines...it was too beautiful to throw away :)

I mixed and matched a few of their paper lines...including:
{Prosperity} from the Blissful line
{Yearning} from the Wonder line...this is their x-mas line but PERFECT for everyday pages too!
{Brillance} from the Splendid line

Here is the blog hop list for you to continue along...LOTS of talent along the way :)

**Sorry...autopost was NOT my friend today**

Welcome to another Hip Hop!
My kids are all going crazy with the idea that Halloween is getting so close.  Any day in October means close for them :)  I on the other hand am not a huge halloween fan...I just don't get excited about it.
I'm sure I did as a kid because tons of candy is NEVER a bad thing...right?!
Anyway, I made this card using the
{Unity Itty Bitty Creepy Scary Spooky}
SUPER adorable right!!
I thought so...even though I don't like Halloween these little guys are cute...but I wanted to make it non-tradtional...I don't think it worked :(
I love the image I colored but the pale, pastel colors...seriously what was I thinking!!
I tried...but this really isn't my thing :)
Now head on over to see what Robyn has for you this week.
